There’s an oft-used phrase when “flood proofing” a home or business: “The only risk-free protection from flood is elevation.” That said, the Aqua-Cade™ system is the single most reliable and effective flood barrier system able to withstand protracted wind, rain, and surge events associated with hurricanes. It will not provide a hermetically sealed barrier to an entrance or opening, but it’s the closest you will achieve with any system on the market today.
Our standard order processing time is 3-5 business days for in-stock products. For custom installations, lead times may vary depending on production and fabrication schedules. Our goal, from the time of deposit to initial installation, is to be under 30 days.
The bottom Aqua-Cade™ plank has a rubber EPDM seal, which combined with the post pressure plate jam bolt, creates a strong seal with the ground below. We have enhanced the bottom seal with a soft durometer hollow “D” gasket to conform to anomalies such as pavers. In some applications, a concrete footer provides optimal sealing capabilities. The middle planks have a tongue-in-groove channel ensuring a watertight fit between planks.
The Aqua-Cade™ panels are about 2 lb per linear foot. So a 9-foot panel would be about 18 lb.
